Hollywood Forever

Hollywood Forever Cemetery was a nice place to visit though you don’t want to live there. (lol) Bad joke.

I always enjoyed going there, except for my best friends funeral, but it couldn’t have been a nicer or more beautiful and appropriate setting. He loved film, the Business and Hollywood, like me, we shared that. We shared that,  our wacky out there ideas regarding existence, and vampires. Anyway this post isn’t about that relationship, that is for another time. Had I gotten to work here, like I wanted to do, I might still be in Los Angeles but…it was not meant to be.

This is one of the mausoleums. I don’t know why but I think they are beautiful. I am a energy sensitive person and I never felt creeped out her but peaceful.

Hollywood Forever has lots of fun and interesting events. In the summer they show films. In the movie Valentines Day they  Shirley MacLain and Hector Elizondo attended a screening.

They have a celebration on the Latino holiday Día de los Muertos, Day of the Dead.

If you live in the Greater Los Angeles Area you most likely know about it. If you are visiting go.

Day The Music Died

We Miss you Michael!

I used to have a very strange eerie astral connection with MJ. I would dream things with him that would happen years later in his life. I saw him at the grocery store late one night in Sherman Oaks. I attended a Micheal jackson concert as a date of one of his back up singers. The connection was broken. I recall the day he died, I was working in Brentwood Ca. we could see the helicopters over the hospital. All the cars in Los Angeles were playing his music.

I think Micheal was very special. Much love.

On a personal note, my uncle died today.

We will miss you too Uncle Jerry.

Got To Believe It Is Magic

Structural-Functionalism

Social integration is the attachment to groups and institutions, while social regulation is the adherence to the norms and values of the society. Those who are very integrated fall under the category of “altruism” and those who are not very integrated fall under “egoism.” Similarly, those who are very regulated fall under “fatalism” and those who are very unregulated fall under “anomie“. Durkheim’s strain theory attributes social deviance to extremes of the dimensions of the social bond. Altruistic suicide (death for the good of the group), egoistic suicide (death for the removal of the self-due to or justified by the lack of ties to others), and anomicsuicide (death due to the confounding of self-interest and societal norms) are the three forms of suicide that can happen due to extremes. Likewise, individuals may commit crimes for the good of an individual’s group, for the self-due to or justified by lack of ties, or because the societal norms that place the individual in check no longer have power due to society’s corruption.

Well I dont really know where I am going with that thought, as i was veering to the subversive. I was going to post about Abbie Hoffman. I am going a little retroactive here, like going backwards in my experience of pop culture and the world.
