Bluebutterfliesandme Blog Picks

There are so many blogs I enjoy. As you may know I ran out of picture storage on bluebutterfliesandme

so I will use this one to honor some of the blogs I read and talk about. This rather new visitor to my blog wrote eloquently of his imaginings of his readers, he inspired me to write this blog picks post. So he is first.

Bottledworder

http://bottledworder.wordpress.com/

A super hip, educated and traveled New Yorker, (although he may be from elsewhere) he paints vivid images with his telling of his observations, memories and imaginings.

The Playground, a life reconstructed

http://katyandcara.wordpress.com/

Cara B writes about her life as a young woman in Manhattan and shares of her friend Katy who passed a couple years ago. Cara is also a great writer, she should be published. Every post is gripping. It is the darker side of Sex and the City. I hope you don’t mind that description Cara? Read it.

theadventuresoftransman, Just another middle aged guy raising a family…except I gave birth to mine

Transman is a great writer and usually makes me laugh. He is totally original and genuine. Funny! Read it.

Andrea in Wonderland

“I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then”

http://adreainwonderland.wordpress.com/

She’s crazy in a good way. A couple of my favorite post she tells about her obsession with the French. I really liked Andrea when the first post she had the guts to call Game of Thrones, Game of Yawns, that’s right she was brave.

That is just a hand full there are SO MANY so don’t think I didn’t pick you… there is Kira, Lily,Renard, Karen, Fae…… on and on.

MORE LATER……

My Tee Shirt Store

Under Or Over

I look up at the television and see Prince in black and white. “What is this?” I ask myself. I grab the remote to check. “Under the Cherry Moon,” I guess I missed this from 1986. lol No loss, I mean I love me some Prince, 1999, Little Red Corvet, Controversy and Purple Rain, but this is …….. laughable.

It looks like a rich film students self indulgent fantasy. Something I might do if I were rich in 1986.

Even Kristen Scott Thomas can’t pull this one off.

Day The Music Died

We Miss you Michael!

I used to have a very strange eerie astral connection with MJ. I would dream things with him that would happen years later in his life. I saw him at the grocery store late one night in Sherman Oaks. I attended a Micheal jackson concert as a date of one of his back up singers. The connection was broken. I recall the day he died, I was working in Brentwood Ca. we could see the helicopters over the hospital. All the cars in Los Angeles were playing his music.

I think Micheal was very special. Much love.

On a personal note, my uncle died today.

We will miss you too Uncle Jerry.

Got To Believe It Is Magic

Bring All Your Dreams Alive

Waiting to take you away

On a personal note, I have to believe there is magic.

Much love

Social integration is the attachment to groups and institutions, while social regulation is the adherence to the norms and values of the society. Those who are very integrated fall under the category of “altruism” and those who are not very integrated fall under “egoism.” Similarly, those who are very regulated fall under “fatalism” and those who are very unregulated fall under “anomie“. Durkheim’s strain theory attributes social deviance to extremes of the dimensions of the social bond. Altruistic suicide (death for the good of the group), egoistic suicide (death for the removal of the self-due to or justified by the lack of ties to others), and anomicsuicide (death due to the confounding of self-interest and societal norms) are the three forms of suicide that can happen due to extremes. Likewise, individuals may commit crimes for the good of an individual’s group, for the self-due to or justified by lack of ties, or because the societal norms that place the individual in check no longer have power due to society’s corruption.

Well I dont really know where I am going with that thought, as i was veering to the subversive. I was going to post about Abbie Hoffman. I am going a little retroactive here, like going backwards in my experience of pop culture and the world.
